The Cherokee Nation is the federally recognized government of the Cherokee people and thereby has sovereign status granted by treaty and law. Tribal sovereignty is the right to self-governance. The seat of tribal government is the W.W. Keeler Complex near Tahlequah, Oklahoma, capital of the Cherokee Nation. The Cherokee Nation (hereinafter “Nation”) reservation covers 14 counties in Northeast Oklahoma. The Nation’s Public Health Services Group establishes policies and goals to improve the overall health and wellness of the reservation population. As a party of this endeavor is through preventative measures such as health education long with opening wellness centers and offering memberships. The Nation is now requesting proposals from interested, qualified companies to provide a quality software system to support this endeavor and track memberships.
